How to get here...

First, get to Brazil ...

Sítio do Cervo is located in the Vale do Ribeira, just to the North-west of the Jureia-Itatins ecological reserve, in the state of São Paulo. It is approximately two and a half hours' drive from the international airport at Guarulhos, on the BR 116 highway (Régis Bittencourt) towards the city of Curitiba. There is a regular and comfortable bus service from the Barra Funda terminal in São Paulo operated by the Intersul company -- we can either pick you up at the bus station this end, or collect you by car from the city or from the airport.

Switch to the satellite view of the above map and you will see the contrast between the light-coloured scar of the huge metropolis of São Paulo, the patchwork landscape of the intensive cropland and pastures of the interior, and the deep-green forest of the coastal region. The drive from the airport will take you off the 800m plateau on which São Paulo is built, and down through the Serra do Mar mountain range to the river valley near sea level where the farm is situated.

The nearest coastal town, Peruíbe,  is approximately 45 minutes' drive away.
